Clinical Intern

Queen Liza Ayinesom Aboyah is a Clinical Intern at Anesis, currently pursuing her Master of Social Work (MSW) at UW-Madison. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from the University of Ghana, bringing a unique international perspective to her role.

While new to the mental health field, Queen Liza is passionate about Grief Counselling and Couple and Family Therapy. She is interested in exploring therapeutic approaches such as Music Therapy, Rational-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (R-CBT), and Narrative Therapy.

Queen Liza believes strongly in the power of supportive relationships and social connections in mental health treatment. She emphasizes the importance of encouraging individuals to engage with their support networks to foster a sense of belonging and validation.

As a member of the NASW-WI BIPOC Student Leadership Program for the year 2024, Queen Liza is committed to growing as a professional and contributing to diversity in the field. She loves the diversity at Anesis, both among clients and staff, which she believes creates a strong, inclusive, and thriving work environment that fosters creativity and innovation.

Outside of work, Queen Liza enjoys connecting with family and friends and listening to music. She's also an avid soccer fan and proudly supports Arsenal.
