Mt. Zion Baptist Church Drop-in Clinics

Anesis works alongside Mt. Zion Baptist Church to provide weekly walk-in services. The primary goal is to provide accessible mental health care services and crisis case management for the Madison community. Each location has a mental health counselor, substance abuse counselor, a crisis stabilization case manager and a certified peer support specialist. Our drop-in clinics are open to anyone who lives in Dane County.

During the COVID-19 Pandemic numbers of people seeking mental health services increased. Anesis partnered with local churches in Madison and Dane County Human Services to create free drop-in services for the community. Right now there are two drop-in clinics in Madison at Mt. Zion Baptist Church and Anesis Foundation. You can find location details below.

Common Questions

  • No. Services are provided by the Anesis Foundation for Mental Health, not the church. The church is a community partner that provides space so services can be offered in a familiar, accessible location. All services are confidential and open to anyone in the Dane County area.

  • No appointments are needed. Waiting for an appointment or a waitlist can be hard. Sometimes the problem changes or it can exacerbate before your first appointment. This drop-in clinic is made to get people into services as soon as possible. So when you’re ready you can come.

  • Currently, we have Spanish services available at our West Side drop-in clinic.

  • At each location we have a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor, Crisis Stabilization Case Manager and a Licensed Therapist.

  • Sessions are 30 minutes long.

  • You can attend up to four to six therapy sessions at the drop in clinic. You and your therapist will collaborate to see if you need more services. If more services are needed a referral to our outpatient clinic will be made. You will be able to utilize the drop-in clinic until your first appointment.
