Angelica Catalan

(Ella/She/Hers)

Bilingual CCS Service Facilitator

Angelica Catalan serves as a Bilingual CCS Service Facilitator at Anesis, marking her initial foray into the mental health field. With a Bachelor of Science in Community & Nonprofit Leadership and Social Welfare, complemented by certificates in Chicana/Latina Studies and Leadership, Angelica brings a wealth of knowledge tailored to community service. Her work has predominantly focused on engaging with the Latine community and supporting middle and high school youth.

In her therapeutic approach, Angelica emphasizes the importance of recognizing the full spectrum of an individual's identities, believing in the holistic view of each person she works with. Although new to the mental health sector, Angelica is driven by a philosophy that everyone is more than the challenges they face and possesses the inherent capability to overcome them.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Angelica enjoys crafting, thrifting, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She is a native Spanish speaker and proudly embraces her Latina heritage, which enhances her ability to connect with and support a diverse client base. A fun personal tidbit about Angelica is that she taught herself how to wiggle her ears in the fourth grade.

Angelica is particularly enthusiastic about her role at Anesis, where she looks forward to learning about everyone's unique stories and supporting them in achieving their goals. Her passion for community involvement and her belief in the transformative power of personal narratives enrich her contributions to the mental health field.
