Advanced Clinical Intern

Abbie serves as an Advanced Clinical Intern at Anesis while pursuing her Master's in Counseling online at Southeastern University. Born and raised in the Midwest, Abbie brings a wealth of experience from her 8 years working with nonprofits in Madison.

In addition to her counseling role, Abbie is the Lead Pastor at New Culture Church, where she utilizes her expertise to guide individuals through their Christian faith journey. This unique combination of clinical training and spiritual leadership allows her to offer a holistic approach to mental health and personal growth.

Abbie's passion lies in connecting with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences, walking alongside them as they pursue human flourishing. Her work has included advocating for survivors of sexual assault and domestic abuse. She has also traveled both locally and internationally, teaching in countries across the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Recognizing that each individual brings a unique identity and story to every interaction, Abbie is dedicated to building meaningful relationships with her clients. She empowers them to view themselves as the experts of their own narratives. Her therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems therapy, creating a safe environment for care, healing, and growth.

At Anesis, Abbie combines her counseling skills, pastoral experience, and community background to provide compassionate, faith-informed support to those seeking both mental health care and spiritual guidance.
