Advanced Clinical Intern

Jen Miranda Rodrigues serves as an Advanced Clinical Intern at Anesis, where she brings a rich academic background with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Spanish, and a Master's degree in Spanish. Currently, she is furthering her education in Marriage and Family Therapy at Edgewood College. With over 10 years of community organizing experience and just a few months in the mental health field, Jen is dedicated to working with couples, individuals, and families using a variety of therapeutic approaches including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Collaborative Therapy, and mindfulness techniques.

Jen believes that mental health struggles often stem from isolation and asserts that healing is a collective journey that requires the supportive presence of others to uncover and affirm our true selves. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys running, gardening, and both actual and imagined traveling. Jen is multilingual, fluent in Spanish and conversational in Portuguese, which enhances her ability to connect with a diverse clientele.

An interesting personal aspect of Jen is her 15-year involvement in Capoeira, a passion that she continues to enjoy. At Anesis, she values the loving and welcoming atmosphere that aligns with her belief in creating an organizational model that embodies the change desired in the world, resonating with the principles articulated by adrienne maree brown. This environment not only supports her professional growth but also deeply aligns with her personal values and approach to mental health treatment.
