Jan Houston
In-Home Program Coordinator
LaJanda “Jan” Houston grew up in a small town in Mississippi. She’s the oldest of 9 siblings. She’s married to her wonderful husband Bryant Houston of 21 years. She’s a proud mom of 2 biological children, one stepson, and 3 grandchildren. After graduating from Rosedale High School she later moved to Madison to find new and better job opportunities.
In the year of 2000, she started working at Avalon Assisted Living as Resident Assistant. At this point is where she discovered her passion to serve, advocate and provide quality services for people. In 2002 she was promoted to lead staff and 6 months later to Resident Care Coordinator where she remained until the position was eliminated.
In 2019 she became a business owner and Operator of TruCare Companion LLC providing individuals with safe, quality care in their homes. Outside of work she loves the word of God, road trips with her husband, listening to music, relaxing at home, and lots of laughter with family and friends.
As of Dec. 2020, she started her new journey at Anesis In-Home Therapy as Intake Program Coordinator. The essentials responsibilities will be receiving, processing, and preparing referrals for the program. She is honored to be a part of such a great team where she continues to serve the community and welcome each life experience as an opportunity to learn and grow.
