Eric Baer

Eric received his Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Edgewood College and his Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communications with a Minor in Sociology from DePaul University. Eric practices from a systemic framework of therapy which means that each individual, couple, and family that he sees all have a unique and personal lived experience that deserves a personal narrative in better understanding the individual, couple, and family as a whole.
Eric has experience in working with individuals presenting with various mental health related illnesses, and has experience working with traditional and non-traditional couple and family dyads.
Eric has a particular interest in working with those who are going through transitional and new phases of life including: marriage, divorce, a new job, school, etc. He also has a special interest in working with young children, adolescents, and adults who are currently or have been a part of the adoption and foster care system especially being an international and transracial adoptee himself. He recently completed his certification at the TAC institute through the University of Milwaukee providing additional trainings, interventions, and competency in working with individuals and families in the adoption and foster care community.
In his free time, he enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, finding new restaurants to try in Madison, and being outdoors.
