Meet Devon Michael Young, one of our Service Facilitators, who is an instrumental part of our team at Anesis. With a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) under his belt, Devon has quickly built a reputation as an insightful and compassionate facilitator in the mental health field.

With two and a half years of experience, Devon has gained valuable knowledge and skills across a variety of mental health settings. His experience includes a year at Briarpatch Youth Services in Intensive Supervision, a year at PACT, and half a year here at Anesis. Through these roles, Devon has cultivated a strong focus on mental health, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to helping his clients navigate their unique journeys.

Devon's philosophy towards mental health treatment is straightforward yet profound: "I believe everyone can benefit from some form of mental health treatment. Mental health is just as important as physical health, and it should be treated as such." This belief informs his work every day, as he strives to support clients in understanding and prioritizing their mental well-being.

When Devon is not working, you'll likely find him indulging in his love for volleyball—a sport he's been playing since his freshman year of high school. Devon is also a big fan of music and follows Chicago sports enthusiastically. His open-mindedness and acceptance, a testament to his diverse interests, translate into his professional role, enhancing his ability to connect with and support clients from all walks of life.
