Pamela Ramsey

(she/her)

Psychotherapist, LPC,CHT

None of us are exempt from life’s uncertainties and challenges. To endure, and persevere, through these inevitable trials, we need support systems that are both nurturing and empowering. As a therapist, Pamela Ramsey provides both a soft-landing place for her clients to rest and recover, and an invigorating presence that energizes them to embrace the challenges in front of them. Pamela, (affectionately referred to by many as “PamRam”) has a distinct passion for supporting female clients, as well as couples seeking to strengthen the unity of their commitment.

Pamela uses a variety of therapeutic approaches in her work with clients–she is versed in the Gottman Method, the infamous couple’s therapy approach, as well as trauma therapies such as EMDR and Brainspotting. Curious and excited about other ways to support her clients’ healing, Pamela recently became a Certified Hypnotherapist, and a Reiki Master.

Before joining Anesis over 5 years ago, Pamela worked for over 25 years in the healthcare industry, a career which ran the gamut of specialities from internal medicine to obstetrics, and several roles, from clinical supervisor to Director of Instruction. She worked for years with African-American teenaged sex offenders at what is now known as Roger’s Memorial Hospital in Brown Deer, Wisconsin.

Her undergraduate degree in Healthcare Management dovetailed well with her Masters’ degree in Counseling, both of which helped to shape her into the strategic and compassionate therapist she is today.
