IN-HOME PROGRAM

About

Anesis Family Therapy now provides in-home counseling to families in Dane County. This program serves families referred by Dane County Human Services who are at risk of experiencing a separation from their family system.

Anesis In-Home Therapists and Parent/Family Advocates take a culturally encompassing, holistic approach to our work with families. We honor the existing strengths of the families with whom we work, and aim to provide support for the development of new skills which enhance positive family communication and attachment. Together with families, we explore the impacts of various kinds of trauma on caregivers and children, and we provide guidance and warm support as families develop coping skills which foster individual and collective growth, safety and family cohesion.

The therapeutic modalities we utilize include but are not limited to Family Functional Therapy (FFT), Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), aspects of Infant Mental Health, Child Parent Psychotherapy, Solution Focused, Interpersonal Therapy and Mindfulness. In addition, parent focused intervention will utilize the Adults and Children Together (ACT) curriculum which promotes positive parent skills and support.

Our program emphasizes a scaffolding approach for treatment by building on learned mastery and engaging clients in adaptive and flexible goals reflective of their strengths, culture, and unique needs.
