Christina Jewett

(she/her)

Child and Family Advocate, BSW

Christina believes everyone deserves a safe place to heal. As a Child and Family Advocate in our In-Home Family Therapy program, Christina hopes to help co-create that safe space with the families she serves.

Born in Philadelphia and raised in a small town in Vermont by her white, adoptive parents, Christina has seen firsthand the impact that family systems and relationships can have on a person’s life. She is passionate about supporting families, particularly children of color, as they develop safe and secure attachment relationships, and learn to navigate challenging family dynamics.

Christina earned her Bachelor’s of Social Work, with minors in Sociology and Criminal Justice, from Castleton University. Shortly after graduation, she made the move to Madison to work at Anesis Therapy, as she was drawn to the organization’s style of truly meeting clients where they are. She soon plans to pursue her Master’s and practice as a psychotherapist, so she can continue to help people of color feel supported and confident moving forward in their homes, communities and lives. In her free time Christina loves traveling, spending time with her family, and watching movies. Despite the time she spends horizontal on the couch, Christina is surprisingly athletic–she played basketball and soccer in high school, and ran track in college.
